About the Opportunity

Currently, TERCO is looking for a full-time Project Coordinator based in Toronto, Ontario. Reporting to the Project Estimator and Project Manager, you will provide support to our various construction projects all over the greater Toronto area.

Your responsibilities and developing scopes of work include, but are not limited to:

  • Setting up project using project management software
  • Reading, reviewing, uploading, cataloguing, and tracking construction drawings 
  • Assisting the Estimator in preparing estimates, tenders, and bids, with the proper level of detail for all projects
  • Organizing bids using bidding portals, and communicating with various subcontractors regarding the scope of the project
  • Assisting the Project Manager and Estimator in communicating with clients, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers on issues regarding cost, budget, and estimates
  • Assisting the Project Manager in planning procedures, resources, staffing, and timeline for construction
  • Identifying and posting potential changes and follow-up with subcontractors, to receive accurate quote to client
  • Coordinating delivery of materials with project schedule requirements
  • Confirming that safety documentations, permits, and workflow are in place
  • Monitoring the project management software, and confirming all documents and information are up-to-date

About You

To qualify, you will need proven experience in construction, or have a strong background in estimating. Motivated candidates with the right mindset and want to start or develop their career in construction, are encouraged to apply! 

In addition, skills, knowledge, and experience in the following are crucial to succeed in this role:

  • Post-secondary education
  • Background or the quick ability to learn Planswift
  • Computer proficiency (e.g., MS Office Suite)
  • Background or the quick ability to learn online bidding portals (e.g., biddingo, Merx, Bidsandtenders, etc.)
  • AutoCAD (asset)
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven administrative skills
  • Valid Driver's License

Most importantly, we are looking for candidates that possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, time management, and excellent public relations. The role is essential in liaising with subcontractors, so you must be able to effectively communicate in an assertive yet positive manner.
